Paris & Japan Expo 2010
In June I saw this post news in Xplosion (An X JAPAN news fan-site were I’m the Spanish translator). YOSHIKI and ToshI in the Japan Expo. I had already seen YOSHIKI three years ago in his Q&A session in the Japan Expo, but I had never seen ToshI. Anyway, I didn’t think I would be able to go because any of my friends wanted to go and I didn’t want to go alone. But then they said they were going to do an acoustic showcase. ToshI singing and YOSHIKI playing piano means Ashura has de be there!
I checked the university schedule and lessons ended on June 18th so I was able to go. My friends are not interested or not that interested in X JAPAN as I am so I had nobody to go with… At first I thought I wouldn’t be able to go, I was afraid to travel alone, my sense of direction is the worst, I’m nervous & shy (more when it comes to speak in other languages) and I thought my parents wouldn’t let me go. But my parents didn’t have a problem with that. I started to check flight websites and I wanted to die, used to Barcelona-Paris -50€, I didn’t see any flight for less than 100€. So I started to look for rooms, I didn’t want to share a room with people I don’t know so it had to be a single room and I didn’t find any free room for less than 60-80€. Is that worth it, I wondered. But as I had recently won a prize and I had some money, I thought, what the heaven, yes. In the end, it wasn’t as expensive as I thought! Then it was said that Yoshiki was going to do a signing session at FNAC on July 3. And my plane arrived that day at 10:25!
Three years ago there was another signing session at Japan Expo but it was only for the lucky ones that got an invitation from a raffle. I didn’t get one any of the times I tried. From the people who was with me, 3 of us were YOSHIKI fans and I was the only one who didn’t have an invitation.
During the signing session, I was in front of YOSHIKI at the other side of the fence and I felt like crying… After the signing session, he left and we followed him until he left the venue, everybody was asking him for an autograph, and I wanted to do the same but was shocked and I still didn’t have anything for him to autograph. Then I saw he was signing notebooks and when I managed to pick mine from the bag he had already left the venue. One of my friends told me “You won’t have another chance like this”.
It looked like I really was going to have a second chance. This time the DAHLIA TOUR Final was on sale and you had to be one of the first 150 buyers to enter the signing session.
SO
